The Criteria

So this is how I will be judging cupcakes, and all desserts.  Mind you I will for the majority of reviews be focusing on the descriptive facts.  That's of far more worth to you than me just saying "yummy" vs "yucky".   But I'd be thrilled to hear of your experiences though.
1) The dessert in question:
         a. The icing: Consistency- is it heavy, light, smooth, creamy, lard/shortening-based, butter-based.  Flavor- does it have any special flavor, or is it just sweet, how sweet.
         b. The cake: Texture- is it light, fluffy, dense, moist.  Filling- if there is any, same as icing.
         c. The presentation: Size, Design, etc.

2) The Place:
         a. Atmosphere: is it a place to hang out, a place to take the kids, also serve food, romantic, late night.
         b.Offerings: just one type of dessert or a variety,is there a specialty, are there lots of flavor choices. 

3) Extras: Is it organic, gluten-free, charitable, worthy of any other honorable mentions.

And that's how it will be done, till I come up with a better system.  By all means give me your suggestions!
