Mexico Dessert Highlight

So I got to go on an awesome Mexico vacation with my darling husband.  I love Mexico, the beach, the nachos, the beer, the beach, the guacamole, the tequila, the beach...you know, all the good stuff.  One thing I don't love about Mexico...dessert.  The country as a whole, in my experience, never really blows my sweet tooth away, and 11 days without sugar makes for a cranky Confectionista.  Thankfully for me we stumbled across Chez Celine in Playa del Carmen.  Right on the main drag, it's an absolutely adorable little french style patisserie with nummy little noshings to fill the dessert crave.  Complete with an inviting little court yard area out front for al fresco dining and people watching, Chez Celine was our little sugar haven on this trip.  My favorite were the Cannelles (moist and carmel-y) and the brownies (soft and dark). But they had many other options as well.  If you find yourself in Playa Del Carmen in need of a sugar fix, Chez Celine may be just your place.
