Pears Helene - Recipe

Surprisingly simple, this is a refreshing recipe that will certainly please as we experience record high temps!

     2 canned pear halves with heavy syrup
2 lg. scoops vanilla ice cream
1 tsp. vanilla extract (or for the adventurous 2 Tablespoons Brandy)
1/2 c. hot fudge sauce
Toasted almonds, if desired

 Combine pears and pear syrup with vanilla extract (or brandy). Cover and refrigerate for 3-4 hours. At serving time, warm pear halves in microwave for 30 seconds and arrange 2 pear halves with a scoop of ice cream in each of two stemmed dessert glasses. Pour hot fudge sauce over all. Garnish with toasted almonds and enjoy! This serves two.
